Munich was founded in 1158, and now it is Bavaria’s biggest city with around 1.4 million inhabitants. This tour will lead you the most famous tourist attractions of Bavaria’s metropolis along with some interesting anecdotes about the city’s history.
The Königsplatz was planned 200 years ago in an area that was originally outside of Munich’s centre. From this majestic place onwards we will cycle to the film academy building, erected in 2011, and to the Obelisk. The Obelisk was built in remembrance of the Napoleonic wars and also tells us some things about the beginnings of Munich’s ore foundry. Afterwards, we will pass the hotel Bayerischer Hof.
We will visit the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus, as well as the former imperial residence Alter Hof and the Marienplatz with its famous Glockenspiel in the New Town Hall.
